Lesson F2.3: Calibration and Repeatability
Calibration connects a programmed value with what the robot actually does. Measure the error, change one constant, and test again. Do not tune several distances and turns at once because the cause of improvement will be unclear.
Telemark runs every program against ideal wheels and fixed minus-two-percent and plus-two-percent wheel profiles. These are deterministic teaching cases, not random physics. A robust return route should tolerate more than one profile.
Official hardware activity
Use the systematic testing approach in Mission Ready. Record expected and actual results rather than only pass or fail.
Simulator practice
Build a route that leaves home and returns. Read repeatabilityPasses in telemetry and adjust the route until at least two profiles return home.

Try it in the SPIKE App
Run a route at least three times from the same alignment. Record end-position error, battery state, surface condition, and any mechanical change.
